Reviewing the National AI Development Plan and the Challenges of Leveraging the Innovation Fund

According to the Public Relations Office of the Khorasan Razavi Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Ali‑Mohammad Shariati‑Moghaddam emphasized the need for effective follow‑up on financial commitments made to support knowledge‑based and technology‑driven enterprises in the province.
He referred to recent discussions held concerning the capital expansion of the Provincial Research and Technology Fund, noting that, following the visit of the President of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, a resolution was approved allocating 140 billion tomans in credit to knowledge‑based companies in Khorasan Razavi.
“This amount,” Shariati‑Moghaddam stated, “represents an essential resource for small innovation‑oriented firms and startups — but its actual disbursement must be actively pursued to ensure meaningful impact.”
He stressed that continued advocacy for increasing the fund’s capital is crucial and should be advanced through legal and institutional cooperation among the Provincial Governor’s Office, the Chamber of Commerce, and other related agencies.
Such collaboration, he said, will help reduce the province’s lag in artificial intelligence development compared to other regions of the country.
Shariati‑Moghaddam concluded that effective utilization of the Innovation Fund, coupled with sustained investment in AI research infrastructure, can serve as a strategic turning point for regional technological growth, positioning Khorasan Razavi as a competitive player in Iran’s emerging national AI landscape.
