Ninety Percent of Major Global Brands’ Assets Are Intellectual Property

According to the Khorasan Razavi Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Ali‑Mohammad Shariati‑Moghaddam, Head of the Commission for Knowledge‑Based Enterprises, Digital Economy, and Artificial Intelligence, highlighted the crucial role of intellectual property, brand registration, and creative design at both national and international levels.

He noted that today, nearly 90 percent of the total assets of the world’s leading brands consist of intellectual and intangible property, underscoring the growing importance of knowledge‑based industries and innovation‑driven economies.

Shariati‑Moghaddam emphasized that recognition, registration, and effective utilization of intellectual assets are key strategies that Iranian companies and industries must prioritize. Proper management of these assets, he stated, can significantly contribute to the growth of knowledge‑based businesses and the economic advancement of both Khorasan Razavi Province and the country as a whole.
