Therefore, the <strong>primary mission of the Permanent Secretariat of the National Saffron Festival<\/strong> must be to <strong>achieve unity and commitment toward a series of coordinated actions aimed at improving product quality and competitiveness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Organization and Achievements of the First Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Ali\u202fKabir, Secretary\u2011General of the Khorasan\u202fRazavi Chamber of Commerce, reported that to hold the <strong>First National Saffron Day Festival<\/strong>, a total of <strong>ten coordination and executive committee meetings<\/strong> and <strong>over one hundred administrative correspondences<\/strong> with executive bodies were conducted.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">As outcomes of these efforts, the following initiatives took place:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li><strong>Photo exhibition<\/strong> at the <strong>Great Khorasan Museum<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Saffron products fair<\/strong> and presentation of <strong>21 top brands<\/strong> in <strong>Kuhsangi Park<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Promotional and educational caravans<\/strong> dispatched to <strong>four counties<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Traditional and cultural celebrations<\/strong> across various towns<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>main closing ceremony in Mashhad<\/strong>, where the final <strong>festival declaration<\/strong> was publicly read<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Kabir also referred to the <strong>message from the President of Iran<\/strong> addressed to the festival, which emphasized the <strong>preservation of saffron\u2019s authenticity and heritage<\/strong>. He noted that saffron remains the <strong>most valuable agricultural commodity in Khorasan\u202fRazavi<\/strong>, and that <strong>enhancing exports and economic impact<\/strong> depends on <strong>dedicated national\u2011level support<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Key Clauses of the Festival Declaration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Samira\u202fSabzevari, Head of the Chamber\u2019s Agriculture Office, elaborated on the <strong>six clauses of the National Saffron Day declaration<\/strong>, highlighting both <strong>economic challenges<\/strong> and <strong>proposed reforms<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li><strong>Establishment of an international saffron exchange market<\/strong> to strengthen local economies and attract both domestic and foreign investment<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delegation of decision\u2011making authority<\/strong> regarding the saffron value chain from national to provincial levels<\/li>\n<li><strong>Budget allocation<\/strong> for a structured <strong>educational and promotional plan<\/strong> for saffron<\/li>\n<li><strong>Earmarking 0.5\u202fpercent of saffron export value<\/strong> for trade development<\/li>\n<li><strong>Creation of a national saffron database<\/strong> and implementation of <strong>product traceability and certification systems<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Comprehensive support for research and commercialization<\/strong>, especially through <strong>knowledge\u2011based companies<\/strong> aimed at enhancing productivity in the saffron value chain<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exchange\u2011rate unification<\/strong> and <strong>reduction of India\u2019s preferential import tariff<\/strong> for saffron<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Advances in Agriculture and Standardization<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Gholamreza\u202fGhanbari, Director\u2011General of the Khorasan\u202fRazavi Agricultural Jihad Organization, emphasized considering <strong>production costs and product health<\/strong> as vital factors in saffron farming. He announced the formation of a <strong>Provincial Saffron Task Desk<\/strong>, enabling close collaboration among leading farmers to raise quality standards.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He further stated that the <strong>national budget for the current year included a dedicated line for saffron<\/strong>, which supports the <strong>procurement of planting, cultivation, and harvesting machinery<\/strong>.
