{"id":39982,"date":"2025-09-16T11:02:34","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T07:32:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shariati.info\/?p=39982"},"modified":"2026-03-15T13:25:21","modified_gmt":"2026-03-15T09:55:21","slug":"economic-isolation-a-barrier-to-international-investment-and-knowledge-based-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shariati.info\/en\/economic-isolation-a-barrier-to-international-investment-and-knowledge-based-development\/","title":{"rendered":"Economic Isolation: A Barrier to International Investment and Knowledge\u2011Based Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">According to the Khorasan Razavi Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, <strong>Ali\u2011Mohammad Shariati\u2011Moghaddam<\/strong>, Chairman of the Commission for Knowledge\u2011Based Businesses, Digital Economy, and Artificial Intelligence at the Mashhad Chamber, spoke online during this session, emphasizing that <strong>a significant part of a company\u2019s success depends on its internal structure and the spirit of innovation that drives it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He stated that this internal strength and innovative mindset are <strong>key enablers for attracting international investment<\/strong>, highlighting that <strong>reinforcing internal structures and focusing on innovation are necessary prerequisites for benefiting from global opportunities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Criticizing the <strong>country\u2019s decision\u2011making system<\/strong>, Shariati\u2011Moghaddam stressed the need for a <strong>clear understanding of the damages caused by separation from the international economic system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cThe national decision\u2011making apparatus must recognize,\u201d he said, \u201chow disengagement from global economic networks causes substantial losses to both the national economy and the private and public sectors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Describing <strong>Iran\u2019s current economic situation as isolated<\/strong>, he added:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cIn countries with open and liberalized economies\u2014whether in our region or in advanced markets\u2014<strong>attracting investment is among the easiest tasks<\/strong> for companies with strong foundations. In contrast, <strong>in Iran, securing international investment has become incredibly difficult, almost impossible<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Knowledge\u2011Based Thinking: The Driving Spirit of Economic Activity<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Shariati\u2011Moghaddam emphasized that <strong>the knowledge\u2011based approach must become the guiding spirit behind all commercial and industrial activities<\/strong> in the country.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cWe believe,\u201d he continued, \u201cthat <strong>every industry must evolve into a knowledge\u2011based one<\/strong> to achieve true international competitiveness.
